Good afternoon, I hope you're doing well. I’m reaching out because my husband and I are facing a difficult situation, and I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about your firm. I truly admire your reputation and wanted to see if there’s any possibility you could assist us or offer guidance. We’ve been trying to pursue a contempt case against my ex-husband due to unpaid medical bills and ongoing late child support payments. After struggling to find a local attorney with availability, we ended up seeking representation out of town. While preparing for the case, a serious incident occurred—my ex-husband physically assaulted our son, and there is now an open CPS investigation. Our attorney initially assured us that our son would remain in our care until the custody and contempt hearings were held. Unfortunately, we now feel the case has not been properly represented, and our son is being sent back to his father’s home, where he feels unsafe due to constant conflict. We also experienced delays with the Guardian ad Litem (GAL) process. After weeks of waiting, I had to reach out myself, only to learn we were late in submitting both the payment and required documentation—information we were never informed of. Thankfully, the GAL was understanding and recognized the delay was due to our attorney’s oversight. Since then, communication with our attorney has been inconsistent and concerning. He often seems confused about the details of our case, and fear that outside influences may be affecting his ability to manage it effectively. We are still waiting on a temporary custody order from July and have yet to receive a hearing date. When I followed up last week, he simply said, “Oh yes, that’s something I need to look into.” At this point, we feel lost and unsure of how to proceed. I understand your firm may not be accepting new clients, but we would be incredibly grateful for any advice, support, or referrals you could offer. Our priority is doing what’s best for our son and ensuring his safety and well-being. Thank you so much for your time and consideration. Warm regards, Adrianna White
