Today April 17, 2026 I filed a complaint with the Missouri bar assc/ chief disciplinary counsel . Miss Pyatt was paid a retainer back in February to represent me. We had a agreement that was signed by both parties. However, she failed to represent me fully and provide evidence that would have weighed heavily in my favor on my court date
When we went to court she failed to share documents that were needed by the court and opposing parties that were time sensitive, she failed to file motions. As I asked her to in court. Mrs Pyatts correspondence and open communication was poor and several days late via text/email .
On several occasions, I asked Miss Pyatt for a payment overview of the billed hours / fees on more than four occasions she failed to provide that, and still has yet to do so almost 2 months later,
when it was clear that she was not representing me properly and as we agreed upon, I asked her to withdraw from the case so I could seek counsel that was going to represent me properly
The judge granted this motion however, on my next court date, she showed up with a document trying to get me to sign it
(in open court )exchange to give me the file that I already had a copy of and I had given her . On this document if I were to sign it, which I did not because I crossed out language which she was asking to be released from any liabilities or any damages from her representation, and I thought that was strange because the judge had already granted her motion to withdraw. Why would she want a document like that signed
I think we all know why, so please choose whom you pay to represent you carefully and at this time I cannot endorse Miss Pyatt and I'll update this post when a case number is available with the Missouri bar Association along with a case number for the lawsuit I am going to file .
